"While performing genetic research at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, I discovered that although genes are important, the environment is the key regulator in deciding which genes are activated throughout a person's lifetime.  We do have control over our health and our futures."

Dr. Keri Herro

Keri Herro, D.C.

Doctor of Chiropractic

There is no question in Dr. Keri's mind that she has chosen the right profession to fulfill her life purpose.  From her first encounter with chiropractic ten years after being injured in a car accident and suffering daily migraine headaches, the principles and philosophies of chiropractic perfectly aligned with her core beliefs about the body's inner wisdom, the power which allows the body to self-heal and self-regulate.  A chiropractor, who she met at a community event, helped her overcome spine and nerve injury and educated her on maintaining her health.  This positive experience changed Dr. Keri's life forever.

After graduating from Northwestern Health Sciences University, Dr. Keri received expert training in the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is in the process of completing a 100-hour Wellness Physician Certification, making her one of the few Wellness Physicians in the country.

As a wife and mother, Dr. Keri's lifelong dream was to establish herself in a community to make it a healthier place for her children to grow and live.  Because of this, Dr. Keri has become one of the leading health and wellness advocates in Riverview.  As a volunteer doctor for the Foundation for Wellness Education, she lectures on a wide variety of wellness topics relating to Eating Well, Moving Well, and Thinking Well.  In addition, she is a popular and sought-out speaker on the topic of growing healthy children.

Dr. Keri and her husband reside in Riverview with their son, Maxamillion.  As a young family, they appreciate the friendly, small-town environment that Riverview offers its residents.  They enjoy spending time at the beach and outdoors with family and friends.

Dr. Keri is a member of the Florida Chiropractic Association, the Florida Chiropractic Society, the American Chiropractic Assocaiation, the International Chiropractic Association, and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.  She is also involved with the Riverview community through the Riverview Chamber of Commerce and various outreach programs.

Matthew

Business Manager

Matthew had been a believer of the benefits of Chiropractic care after the migranes his wife had for years were eliminated.  They had been to the Mayo Clinic, as well as other specialists in two states for a few years to determine the source of the severe headaches.  Not one of the specialists  were able to detremine the source of the issue, but attempted to give her more medication.  Seeing his wife bruising from medications, he read a pamphlet on the benefits of chiropractic. Within the first month of her care, she no longer had constant headaches. He then used chiropractic in his own health care plan.  Since that first day of chiropractic care, he has noticed increased energy, positive attitude, and the elimination of allergies without the use of medication.

Matthew has a Bachelors degree in Mass Communication-Telecommunication and a Masters in Business Administration.  He has 15 years of Telcommunications, commercial radio, and business experience.  Currently, he belongs to the South Shore Business Administration, Riverview Chamber of Commerce, and the Ruskin Chamber of Commerce.  He is also involved with many community events held by the American Cancer Society, Childrens Hospital, Hands to hope, Liftkids.org, and both Ruskin and Riverview Chambers.

Crystal

Licensed Massage Therapist

Crystal's awareness of the benefits of massage came after experiencing her first spa day. Leaving the establishment feeling balanced, rejuvenated and completely relaxed and ache free, she began researching the different types of massage. Amazed by the many beliefs and techniques offered by the wide variety of massage modalities, Crystal began incorporating massage into the upbringing of her children, soothing them into sleepy-time after a warm bath and maintaining the aches and pains of repetitive everyday manual labor of her fiance, a construction business owner. Convinced by the evident impact massage had on each individual in her family, Crystal enrolled into Everest University and began studying what had quickly became her passion, Massage Therapy.

Upon graduating and receiving her diploma, Crystal passed the national board examination, becoming Nationally board licensed and certified to practice massage. After years of dreaming, planning, and hard work, Crystal has opened her very own practice at My Family Chiropractic. She offers her services in Swedish, Sports, Deep tissue, Neuromuscular, Geriatrics, and Prenatal and infant massage. Also Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Trigger Point and Focal massage. Upon initial assessment of each client, Crystal combines her knowledge of these massage modalities to ensure each individual a customized and effective session and treatment to jump start their road to living life free from persistent pain and dysfunction.

A member of the FSMTA (Florida State Massage Therapy Association), Crystal prides herself in honesty, cleanliness, confidentiality, and effectiveness. Crystal believes that massage, combined with chiropractics, form a powerful healing approach that addresses pain and overall physical and mental health, on many levels.

Susan

Customer Marketing Specialist/Front Desk

Susan has been enthusiastic about chiropractic care for 30 years when a friend recommended she go for a severe pain in her shoulder.  Having never been to a chiropractor before she was hesitant.  She went and was diagnosed for bursitis.  Within a short amount of time she was pain free and from that moment could not praise chiropractors enough recommending to everyone they should give it a try.  During the years, Susan has read all about the benefits of a healthy skeletal system and the benefits and rewards of maintenance.  After seeing many chiropractors she eventually came to see Dr. Kerri and was amazed at how much more is involved than just adjustments.  It was at that point she knew she wanted to work at our office and be involved with the well being of our patients.

Susan has a degree in Criminal Justice and an extensive background in Administration and Management.  She was a Legal Assistant for 11 years and worked for in-house counsel for a Fortune 500 company in New York.  She also has a background in Advertising.  After leaving the legal field, she helped maintain a 450,000 square foot office complex in New Jersey with the same company and enjoyed being in facilities dealing with the vendors.  After moving to Florida her calling then became Recruiting.  She worked her way up to become Market Operations Manager overseeing 14 offices from the Midwest to the East Coast.  Susan planned and worked conventions, traveled extensively to oversee her offices and made customer service her top priority.

Susan and her husband John moved to Riverview 11 years ago and have 5 children.  Their son just moved to Fishhawk 4 years ago, a daughter in Midlothian, Virginia and another daughter and two sons still living in New York.
