If you're a first-time visitor at My Family Chiropractic, you will need to give us some information about your background, medical history and the nature of your condition. This is so that we can provide the best possible care, tailored to your specific circumstances.  Please download the appropriate intake form and bring it to the office with you on your first visit.  

Your First Visit

Consultation
During your first consultation with the doctor, you will discuss any health-related issues and concerns. You will find out if you are a good candidate for chiropractic care!

History and examination

In order to pinpoint the problem, the doctor will ask you a number of questions related to your condition. A variety of targeted neurological and orthopedic tests, including a posture evaluation, range of motion analysis, and a nerve scan will be performed to locate the cause of your problem.

X-rays

When required, x-rays will be taken to get a closer look at the potential cause of your problem. 

Your Second Visit

After the doctor has thoroughly reviewed your history and exam results, you will return to the office to learn about your Recommended Action Plan.  During this visit, you will receive the results of your examination and recommendations for correcting the problem and reaching your health goals. 

A Typical Office Visit

Regular appointments are essential to the healing process.  We have convenient hours to best serve you.  A typical visit to our office once beginning chiropractic care only takes a few minutes.  An adjustment doesn't require much time, but it is what allows your body to begin the healing process.

Home Instructions

In helping you to achieve your health goals, it will be up to you to contribute to your care.  You will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat applications, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and lifestyle modifications.
